Take a genre everyone loves: the murder mystery and add some magic and fantasy beings (everyone loves magic), set it in the city that's got everything (and everyone) and you get the equivalent of literary chocolate.I wanted to read this book slowly, a little bit every night, but instead I scarfed it down in a couple of nights. Lucky for me there are more Peter Grant mysteries just waiting for me to get my hands on.
