I actually had a lot of fun reading Stormdancer, which seems a strange thing to say about a story of people having one horrible experience after another against a background which is as chokingly dystopian as they come. I think it's because it's got style, in a really cool comic strip / anime kind of way. I don't need to see it made into one, because I've imagined it already.

Jay Kristoff's writing style moves pretty fast which is maybe good for getting pictures into people's heads, but just occasionally it was so clipped as to be a bit intrusive.
